Quiet and comfortable My husband and I stay at Red Roof Inns when we travel, because of their pet policy. The Red Roof Inn Salem suits us very well. It's very quiet, though close to I93. Also it's generally clean and the lobby staff are efficient and courteous. The room had a slightly unpleasant odor as though it had been smoked in, though the air conditioner did take care of it. That and a sticky surface on a bedside shelf causes me to take a star off. But on the other hand it was otherwise spotless including the grounds (worth noting in a pet-friendly establishment), and the fridge was noiseless and already cold when we got there. Hope to stay here again sometime.
Ive never stayed at a Red Roof Inn before but the location and price made me willing to check this place out. The location is easy to get to but grounds are very blah. The room was clean and basic. Hardwood floors made it feel cleaner. Beds were clean and comfortable. Quiet location, we didnt hear any noise all night. I would stay here again with my family.
Little over priced and they raise there rates for different events that are happening locally. For example they will charge extra money for a room because they know they can get it during foliage season. And to me that's first class ignorance the 4 stars are for the rooms themselves and the cleanliness and staff.
Fair. It was a place to stay. The bedding and bathroom seamed cleaned enough but ,the walls and doors could use some good cleaning. I went for a walk around the property and noticed alot of empty liquor bottles , a broken weed pipe ,and empty Motor oil bottles bumped on the grounds around the parking lot.
Room was basically as advertised. Pretty dirty though it's very obvious they only change the towels and soap. I locked the safe in my room but didn't store anything in it. The next day I come back the safe is open... Nothing was taken from my room but someone is snooping though your stuff so be careful what you keep in the room.
